The Portland metro area is served by a number of transit services that make it one of the leading cities in the nation for transit service. TriMet provides bus, light rail, and commuter rail transit services; the Portland Streetcar connects 16 miles of Central City with three lines; C-Tran connects to Vancouver, WA; and Amtrak is your ticket for interstate travel.

Transit Access

TriMet’s LIFT Service

LIFT is TriMet’s shared-ride service for people who are unable to use regular buses or trains due to a disability or disabling health condition. You must register to qualify and use this service.

Reduced Fare Transit Options

You may be able to ride TriMet for less. Riders with qualifying incomes are eligible for half-price fares.
